Upcoming shows and publications

Much Ado About Zombies, my production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, only with zombies, opens at the Covey Center for the Arts on Oct. 24, 2014.  Tickets can be purchased here.

Mormons and Popular Culture, edited by J. Michael Hunter, has now been published.  Here’s the Amazon link.  My essay, a history of Mormon drama, is in volume one.

I accompanied in your father’s voice studio at IU. He was a very good man (but a really mean Scarpia!). How is he? I didn’t know at the time that he was a Mormon (at the time, I wasn’t).

Hi, WHO. I’m looking for a person who was a progressive Mormon in 1979.
I know this sound like spam. But it’s not! I’m for real
My name is John Draper. I’m writing my first novel. It takes place in a ward in 1979, right after the priesthood ban was lifted. I’m trying to create a character who is a liberal/progressive member of the ward — in fact, the only liberal/progressive member of the ward.

I would like to talk to someone who lived through that as a liberal Mormon. It would help me put my character sketch together.

    Thanks

P.S. Here’s a link to my blog, which I haven’t updated in a LONG time:

I’m a member of a theater group and we’re trying to plan our 2015 season of plays we’re going to see. I love all your work, and I’m wondering what’s coming up. This section of your webpage is SERIOUSLY out of date.
